In 2015, we reached more than 50,000 girls across the globe through LPGA*USGA Girls Golf.
During our November #GivingTuesday campaign to help raise awareness and sustain Girls Golf's growth we were issued a challenge by LPGA Tour Commissioner Mike Whan - raise $50,000 by the end of the year, and he’ll sport a onesie (of our choice, regardless of how embarrassing it is) during the 2016 LPGA Founders Cup press conference.
You read that correctly, Mike Whan is so committed to Girls Golf and our mission that he’ll be giving up his suit and tie to don a Unicorn, Dinosaur, Penguin or Kangaroo onesie (which we think we'll really bring out the color in his eyes).
Well, with that sort of incentive we were able to reach our fundraising goal, raising more than $50,000 for Girls Golf just a few short weeks.
The time is almost here, which means soon Mike will be paying up on his end of the bargain. On Wednesday, March 16th the LPGA Founders Cup will hold their annual Press Conference which will kick off Girls Golf's #LittleGirlsBIGDreams campaign.
Stay tuned for updates, and of course photos throughout the day by following Girls Golf:
To help you count down the days, we've put together a few of Mike's better looks, which proves he's not afraid to look a little silly for a great cause.
