Walk with Sandra Program

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for Girls Golf members! 

The Walk with Sandra program rewards outstanding LPGA*USGA Girls Golf members with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk inside the ropes with LPGA Tour player Sandra Gal during an official LPGA event. Nominated by their Girls Golf program leader and selected by Sandra Gal, winners will gain special VIP invitations to attend their local LPGA tournament and get inside the ropes access to meet and walk with Sandra during an official competition round. The program offers a unique opportunity for girls to meet and interact with LPGA players and watch the skill and action up close.

Eligibility

Open to registered LPGA*USGA Girls Golf members ages 10 years old and above who are comfortable walking 9 - 18 holes. Participants must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone throughout the round.

Nomination Process

To be eligible to participate girls must be nominated by their Girls Golf Site/Co-Site Director. Site Directors interested in having their participants apply should request the online application via info@girlsgolf.org. The application should explain how the nominee personifies one (or more!) of the Five E’s of Girls Golf:

  • EMPOWER – A girl who displays exemplary courage, confidence, or character 
  • ENGAGE – A girl who goes above and beyond to give back to her community 
  • ENERGIZE – A girl who displays leadership and gives back to other girls in her program
  • EXERCISE – A girl who has accomplished exemplary athletic achievements and/or helped to promote health and wellness to others
  • ENRICH – A girl with outstanding scholastic honors and achievements

SANDRA’S CHOICE

Sandra Gal is known for being both a star on the LPGA and an artist. She enjoys painting and drawing and auctions many of her works off to raise money for charities. If there is a Girls Golf member in your program who also possesses a strong passion for art, you may nominate her for the “Sandra’s Choice” category.

Selection Process:

Two finalists will be selected:

  1. One Girls Golf member who will represent the “Five E’s” category 
  2. And one Girls Golf member who possesses a passion for art will represent the “Sandra’s Choice” category (This nominee will be hand-selected by LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Headquarters)
